- SECULAR, NON-POLITICAL AND NON-RELIGIOUS: We support only secular community initiatives, projects or people. This means that we will not support initiatives or projects that are solely for the benefit of one religious community barring others. We support only non-political community initiatives, projects or people. This means that we will not support a particular political party or ideology.
- NO PERSONAL BENEFIT: We keep an ethical firewall in our operations. Every project which Cry Child Foundation supports is not and should not be dependent on any personal benefit for that or any Cry Child Foundation volunteer.
Belief
Cry Child Foundation believes that the future of any individual, people, country or indeed the world lies in education. Despite the universalization of primary education being adopted as a key thrust area, the vast majority of children remain uneducated. The government and several NGOs are working towards this aim. Several schools have been set up towards this end. However, there is a high percentage of poor education in the lower socio-economic strata in the nation. This can be attributed to several factors including poor quality of teaching and lack of support at home due to the children being first generation learners. Parents often pay for tuition that they can ill afford. Thus, Cry Child Foundation predominantly addresses this issue.
Given the right resources, every child can grow out of the unfortunate backgrounds. Education, thus, becomes an important part of a child’s life and growth, making them efficient and capable of leading a better life and giving back to their country. Without the route to education, a child cannot develop the necessary skills to sustain and grow into a responsible human being.
